Well, after being shown this fancy calculator that uses your engine RPM, transmission ratio (Which in my case the 5 speed it has has a .799 overdrive), rear axle ratio, and the radius of the tire...

All that random stuff turns into the fact that at 2000rpms the federal will only be traveling at 43 miles an hour, ramp that up to 3000 and your going 63 miles an hour. My only option to gain any more road speed would be to swap out the rear axle for a 2 speed one from a newer GMC dump truck I have. With the axle in high range I could have the federal going 63 at 2 grand and 70 at 2200 give or take. My only problem is the fact that the engine might not be able to turn the tires at that speed... atleast not very well.

Howdy, Im Austin. Not much to really tell other then my main interests are Trucks, tractors, cars and railroad related stuff. Not much diversity there, well, other then ponies. Ponies have been a very small part of my life and I have pretty much kept it that way. rarely do I devote any sort of time to them anyway.

I hope you enjoy some of my rather horrendous art and stay for awhile.
